The team held numerous fundraising events during the past year; some for the public, others private fundraisers among Northland staff. Their efforts included a company breakfast, chili cook-off, sales of snacks and baked goods, Casual Friday donations, children’s photos with Santa and more.

Several Pink Warriors walked in the recent Iosco County Relay for Life event to support families touched by cancer. Northland’s Nikki Foster (8 miles), Olivia Corcoran (9 miles), Lisa Green (9 miles) and team Captain Terri King (22 miles) were the top walkers; most donating between 20 and 25 hours working the event. Said King, “It is my pleasure to be a part of this dedicated team. Their hard work is the reason we’ve been so successful. Olivia, Nikki, Lisa and Robin went above and beyond anything I could have asked. All of our members are amazing. I’m so proud of everything the Pink Warriors have accomplished!”

Northland’s Pink Warriors began fundraising for Relay for Life in June of last year. The team has five registered cancer survivors.
